Accidental injuries, burns or previous surgery can result in unsightly scars. Such deep or hyperpigmented scars when present on the visible areas can be socially embarrassing. Scar revision surgery is done for such cases.

Results of the surgery:

Marked improvement in the looks of the scar is achieved after most scar revision surgeries. The scars are made much finer, their direction changed suitably to make them less or least noticeable. The scars however can never be eliminated.
