VITILIGO
A vitiligo patch especially on the exposed parts
is a matter of great concern more so in dark races of Asian origin. Some
localized patches that do not show any changes over a long period of time
are treated by plastic surgery.
Results of the surgery: The stable white patches are removed and replaced by normal looking
skin grafts. On large areas, superficial abrasion and pigment cell transfer
brings about good cosmetic results.
